Advantages: Fun, great music, basic and easy to understand Disadvantages: not so good to "get fit", too basic at some points
...at the end of each taught section perfomed by the dance troupe.
Positive Points: It is fun, funky and sassy and the choreography once put together is pretty good for beginners. Paulette goes through each section slowly and explains the moves well, and of course there is always the option to pause/rewind anyway. The choice of music is good, each section isnt dragged on and you do feel a sense of achievement when you get each section right (and in time to the music!)
Negative Points: If you are thinking of buying this DVD to get fit, or are used to this type of dancing/have done a few classes etc in the past and are after something more complicated and energetic, then it probably isnt the best choice. I used to dance competitively across the country in similar styles to this one, and the routines are fairly basic, and I dont think...

This dvd is okay and I watch it to refresh my memory of what I have already learnt in class. However, if you don't attend classes and you are a beginner wanting to learn from home then there are other dvds which will be better for you as they explain everything in more detail. Advantages: Great soundtrack Disadvantages: Not suitable for anyone - unless you trained as a westend dancer
...'t expect to be able to do all the routines straightaway, but I did expect to enjoy taking part and dancing along to the music.
The DVD offers you the chance to choose a track, which you can either watch or learn the routine - the learn option is imperative! You have no chance of even managing 2 steps, let alone keeping up with the whole workout - the big problem here is you need to spend an age learning all the routines inside out before you can even do a workout, not great for a beginner with little or no willpower.
When you choose a workout session you get the choice of how long you want to spend 'watching' the dance and doing the odd few steps.
Frankly after a week of trying to persevere I have officially given up!
I have taken the DVD back to the shops and exchanged it for a sensible, enjoyable workout!
My advice - Unless you...
