I have to say that i DO like this film, it's not the exactly ground breaking but if you just want to sit and watch something thats easy to follow, doesn't have any elaborate twists and is generally fun, then i imagine you'll enjoy this film, just don't expect a lot from it.

Advantages: Good story line with great SFX Disadvantages: Some of the fight scenes could have been longer
Is it possible that something big in Heaven and Hell is about to go down? A heavy smoker (Constantine) has to battle with the supernatural forces of angels and demons to find out what has happened to a detectives sister. I can't tell you too much about the storyline it would spoil the film! I really enjoyed the film and thought it had some really surprising twists giving the film brilliant momentum. I liked the fact that the good guy (Keanu Reeves) ... ...the demons and creatures all look scarily realistic. The weapons in this movie are cool pay particular attention to the arsenal of weapons placed in Constantine's hands! This film is a really imaginative and creative piece of work, especially for a Director who prior to this debut only directed Music videos. The second disc is also good. It contains deleted scenes and shows how the SFX were carried out. ...

Advantages: the cast, special effects Disadvantages: the plot
After the success of the matrix films, god only knows why Keanu agreed to making this. In this Keanu stars as Constantine, relieving the world of as many demons as he can, and trying to overcome his own so when he does eventually die, he can work through the gates of heaven and avoid his present fate of burning in hell.
I thought the plot was very weak, and quite boring. Although the special effects were good. It didnt manage to keep me or the party ... ...of them lost the plot after the first thirty minutes. Personally, the only effect this movie did have on me, made me think I really should give up smoking, watching Keanu chain smoke thoughout the whole film being ridiculed with cancer and then having his smoke filled black lungs being pulled out of him by the devil himself, not nice! ...

Advantages: Actors, alternate Good Vs. Evil plot Disadvantages: too long to get into main action
Keanu Reeves performs a fantastic role in this DVD with some similarities to the Matrix.
The traditional battle of Good Vs Evil is played on but with a slight twist as the Angles can be good or bad- wihing the son of hte devil to enter earth.
Although there are religious links throughout this film the action is awesome and the special effects are excellent with little noticable change between the characters and the effect.
This is a must watch and is highly recommended for anyone.
Along with good acting the plot keeps the audience attentive and the weapons used by John Constantine are unique- including dragon breath and holy water via fire sprinklers.
I especially enjoyed the alternative ending on Disc 2 and hope other people who have seen this film did so too.

, and the slight 'questionables' are just that.
♠♠The DVD♠♠
-------------------
There are two versions of the ConstantineDVD out there, a single disc and a two disc edition.
I have the two disc specialedition, which is what I will review, and the single disc version is just the first disc of the two, with the same things on it as the first disc here.
♠♠Disc One♠♠
Disc one has the Constantine movie on it, along with options for subtitles, and with an impressive language selection list (UK is at the end, after 3 pages!). As with most DVDs these days, there are the 'standard' extras: an audio comentary (in this case with the director, producer, and screenwriters all at once); trailers and a music video. The music video is for a song that features in the nightclub scene of the film ...
