This film ib bases in New york city,starring Mel Gibson as Jerry who play a cab driver. Jerry is a man who knows all the towns conspiracys. Jerry trys to let Alice know about his thoughts and conspiracy played by Julia Roberts, who works in the justice departement. But soon Alice and Jerry are on the run from Dr Jonas played by Patric Stewart and his team because of jerry writting articals in the paper about his conspiracy theorys he has. Alice also finds out that Jonas killed her dad when Jerry remenbers. At the end of the film Jerry gets kidnapped by Jonas and A lice comes to the rescue with a good cop. Jerry then shouts Jonas in the end ,and helps the good cops to tell them about all that he remenbers in his past and present conspiracy . A theory worth viewing?

Advantages: an enjoyable performance from Mel Gibson
Disadvantages: story sometimes confusing and muddled

The Conspiracy theory is the fifth film togther from director Richard Donner and star Mel Gibson,who plays wacky cab driver Jerry.Julia Roberts is the journalist who investigates Jerry and Patrick Stewart is the shadowy CIA boss who is not to be trusted.Jerry a cab driver by night,suffers from blackouts where he can recall strange events from his past which feed into his theories that the whole of society is controlled by a shadowy power.In the course of the movie his path crosses with Patrick Stewart and jerry learns the shocking truth about his past The story is interesting in parts but sometimes ties itself up in knots in trying to be too clever.Gibson brings his character to life with his facial expressions,little changes in how he talks which perfectley capture a man in the grips of paranoia.Julia Roberts is warm and caring as ...
