This is the film that put Arnie into the bigtime! He plays an invincible warrior of a long ago age, who saw his family and village butchered by an evil warlord.
When he made this film, he had only just retired from bodybuilding and was virtually a fully blown up Mr Universe. If anyone could translate the Marvel comic books Conan to the big screen then it had to be Arnie. There is tons of hard hitting and brutal action to keep even the most blood thirsty happy and the plot which centered around Conan growing to manhood and eventually gaining revenge for the sins committed against him is most satisfying.
