Fender: Getting Started On Electric Guitar
Review of Fender Presents: Getting Started On Electric Guitar DVD by midpikyrozziy

Advantages: Good for beginners with a little experience
Disadvantages: Not for complete beginners

...This is a good DVD for anyone who wants to get started on the electric guitar, and begin to play things a bit more complicated to impress friends and family. Keith Wyatt is obviously a very accomplished and skilled guitar player, and he knows what he's talking about. He presents new skills clearly and teaches what he knows well. The only flaw in this DVD is that it may be too hard for complete beginners of the guitar. Where a couple of the lessons it has should be devoted to how to hold the guitar, tuning, how to strum properly and basic chords, it races through these basic skills quite quickly. However, once you have mastered these key skills, the instructional guide moves along at a good pace, and covers lots of things, such as minor pentatonic scales, major pentatonic scales, dominant chords, power chords, and how to play in electric... 50 licks
Review of 50 Licks - Rock Style Guitar DVD by timmys_girl

Advantages: east to follow
Disadvantages: can get alittle confusing

...This DVD was bought for me by my parents for my birthday last year along with a Fender Squire electric guitar and I found this a very useful DVD to teach me how to play my new electric guitar as I have found that some DVDs are not as easy as they claim to be. I am now confident in my playing and have subsequently enjoyed many hours leaning to play new songs. I would definitely recommend this product to others because it is very easy to follow and is especially good for teaching you how to play chords and power chords. However I found that in a couple of places I lost track of what I was meant to do but I just simply rewound the part that I missed until I understood it.... Read review

A must have for Rammstein fans
Review of Rammstein - Live Aus Berlin DVD by chrismeister

Advantages: great music with great staging
Disadvantages: seems to go on for ever

...hair, creating a rather surreal look. This went straight into the first song. Each song I will explain in turn, including the song and also what was going on on the stage. Spiel mit mir: This is first where I realised how good the singing and playing of each of the members of Rammstein were, and how much control they have over the audience too, which is pretty loud. The staging had a lot of fireworks, and, straight after the introduction, really got me into the DVD. Herzeleid: The title track of the first album, Herzeleid, shows off the musical side of things with brilliant keyboard and guitar solos. Till (lead vocals) put a lot of power into singing and that just finished it off perfectly. The staging was very simple, because, I guess, they need to spread out the amazing staging. Bestrafe mich: This is one of the more complex Rammstein... Read review
