Commando, the 1985 action film starring the muscular power of action start Arnold Schwarzenegger. This film was made right after Terminator and is a great action film for one of his first, later leads him to nailing the role in Predator.

I First watched this film about 6 or 7 years ago and at the time i thought it was one of the best action films ever made, mainly because i loved the violence and the fact that one guy, one big huge guy, took on a entire compound of men all alone.

The film has a good story to it, as hes trying to save his daughter, and any film with a story like this is going to be a succses. Obvioulsy Arnold Schwarzenegger adds to the film and really makes it a triumph, his fight scence at the end is a pritty good one and adds to the killing that has already been seen. The bit where he kills Benit with a pipe and says \"Let out some steem Bennit\" is a bit cheesy gives you a little laugh to go with the violence.

The moment he gets out of the boat on the island the film picks up and gives the view some really good action to watch but with slighty elberate preformances from the actors who play the guys who die. The general fighting between Arnie and the enemies appears to be some easy for him as each man comes out one at a time to basically get shot or blown up. They don't really put up any sort of fight and one part i piticually enjoyed was when Arnie uses the rocket launcher. Thi involves him standing in the middle of an open area and fire 2 rockets at what ever comes his way. But eventually he does get hurt, belive it or not, by a gernade. This leaves him awaiting men in a small shed anddisposes of them quite interestingly useing some garden equipment.

Special features are as basic as the first DVD's relesed, the usual original theatrical trailer, Interactive Menus, Scene Access and subtitles not really that good, and i do wish they bring ou a special edition version with some real bonus material.

Arnie, playing main man John Matrix, preformance in this film is pritty good but it is what he does best and that is kill the enemy. He does this is almost all his films aprt from the Comedys like 'Twins' or 'Junior' which both differ completely from this film. This takes the general idea of films like 'True Lies' or 'Total Recall' both good action films and i think this is just another one.

Vernon Wells acting as the Australien rival for John Matrix is done quite well. The fight scene at the end is done really well agaisnt Arnie and the two show show good emotion as they both attempt to kill each other, also i found him quite commical with the lines he comes up with during the course of the fight.

I would recomend this film to anyone and it is a really cheep film so i\'d say it\'s a DVD that anyone should have on their shelf.
