Personally this is my favourite Schwarzenegger film there is. Sure it doesn't have the production values or budget of later films like Terminator 2, but to be honest it does better with out them. Don't go watching this film expecting it to be sensible or believable, because it really isn't. What this film is, is concentrated, canned entertainment. It has, probably the best one liners ever and in abundance. Only Arnie could pull them off and it's the reason we love him. The other characters are great too. The villain, Bennet is ludicrously camp in his chain mail tank top. A young Alyssa Milano (of "Charmed" fame) plays Arnie's daughter is one to look out for too. This film hits everything it sets out to do. "Let off some steam", but leave it to Arnie to run round someone else's garden acting like a one-man army, he's great at it! You'll be laughing at it for weeks just thinking about it.

The plot is pretty simplistic, but lets face it thats not really what this film is about. Arnie is John Matrix an ex-special ops military type guy whos now retired and lives at home with his daughter Jenny (our little Alyssa). But bad guy Bennet and his evil dictator boss have other plans for him. "Chenny" (As Arnie says) is captured and Matrix is forced to go on a mission to assasinate the president of a carribean island so an evil dictator can take over. Is Matrix ever really going to do it? Is he heck. After escaping his "dead tired" handler he goes on a mission to rescue his daughter. Its a race aginast time before they find out what hes up to. Theres huge amounts of fist fights, gun fights and stuff blowing up, along with the one liners.

Although the DVD doesnt really contain any extras its probably the sort of movie that might be spoiled by them. The film is good enough by itself. The DVD is always cheap. Its just a really good buy.Just remember " John, I'll be waiting John".
