Advantages: Subtle humour, great addition to the series
Disadvantages: Perhaps would have been better as three episodes rather than a film

...will not have heard of Dad's Army. It lasted for nine series and, although made back in the nineteen sixties/seventies, there are frequently repeats shown on the television. ...too much. The humour in Dad's Army is generally different - it is very subtle and of a type that catches you unawares. A good example from this film is a scene of the German Army planning their side of the battle in a very organised and high tech way, when a very important message comes in from the Fuhrer. ...Carol Haney and John Raitt. The employees at Sleep tite pajama factory want a seven and a half cent an hour increase. Williams 'Day' the employee spokes person takes on the shop superintendant 'Raitt' for the pay increase but ends up falling for him. Advantages: Delightfully Funny
Disadvantages: Not everyones cup of tea

This film is a remake of the original film that starred Jodie Foster, in 1977. Despite being an extremely tough act to follow Lindsey Lohan does an excellent job as does Jamie Lee Curtis. The film acts as a cautionary tale depicting the lives of a mother and her teenage daughter. They are both extremely different people and as always this leads to conflict and tension.
