Nutty Professor II
Review of The Nutty Professor 2 The Klumps by Mel27

Advantages: Cheap and easy to buy
Disadvantages: The actual film is quite bad

...and Janet Jackson. It's the sequel to the Nutty Professor and both films are available in a double pack video. I was looking forward to great things from this film, especially the fact that Eddie is playing all the parts in the Klump family again but I was sadly disappointed. The sound on the film is atrocious and I can't believe nobody who worked on the film pointed this out. I thought it may be the tape itself but having discussed it with other ...
...the dialogue incomprehensible. I've also read a review saying the same thing. I'm relieved there's nothing wrong with my hearing! Anyway, what is the plot? In this sequel, Murphy makes the Klump family into the major characters. We have the oversexed grandmother, Sherman's aggressively impotent father, his mother and his uncle as well as Buddy Love. The movie opens with professor Sherman Klump barely holding onto his sanity as his internal Buddy ... Read review

It is Another Beautiful Day in Zamunda
Review of Coming To America (Wide Screen) by mynameisrui

Advantages: Funny, Eddie Murphy at his best
Disadvantages: None

Coming to America is one of Eddie Murphy's funnier outings. Made at a time when he was actually funny, this film does him no harm whatsoever and only makes you realise how far downhill he has gone nowadays. It was made in 1988 when he was at his peak (it was made just after Beverly Hills Cop 2) Murphy plays Akeem Joffer who is a Prince in a fictional country of Zamunda. Akeem lives a very regal lifestyle and does very little for himself, including ...
...He is due to be married to a woman who has been trained to serve him and obey his commands but this for him is the final straw. Half way through his wedding day, he decides that he does not want to get married yet. His father then delays the wedding and sends him off to wherever he wants in order to sow his royal oats. He and his servant Semmi decide to go to Queens in New York as they find it a fitting area to go to. However what they don't realise ... Read review

Who's Your Daddy?
Review of Daddy Day Care (Wide Screen) by miasmum82

Advantages: Great light entertainment, superb cast
Disadvantages: If you don't like Eddie Murphy or children, stay away!

Daddy Day Care was released by Revolution Studios in 2003. Written by Geoff Rodkey and directed by Steve Carr. The Cast Charlie Hinton - Eddie Murphy (Showtime, Beverly Hills Cop) Phil - Jeff Garlin (Curb Your Enthusiasm) Marvin - Steve Zahn (National Security, You've Got Mail) Ben Hinton - Khamani Griffin (Barnyard, Happy Feet) Kim Hinton - Regina King (Jerry Maguire, Miss Congeniality 2) Bruce - Kevin Nealon (Weeds) Dan Kubitz - Jonathan ...
...Kim reluctantly agrees and so Daddy Day Care is born. Although people are dubious about two men running a childcare, after a shaky start, DDC is a roaring success. So roaring that Ms. Harridan starts losing a lot of her students. Irritated by this, she calls Child Services. Although Mr. Kubitz of Child Services approves DDC after some changes, and the hiring of an extra Daddy in Marvin (Mail Room guy at the advertising company) this is the start ... Read review
