I thought she took to the role very well especially adopted her normal southern American accent to a very good proper English one. Also notable is that Richard Curtis was part of the writing team so you can rely on a few good witty lines of dialogue that hark back to his days of writing Blackadder. ...by far the best. Bridget Jones is a single 30 year old woman who has had not much luck in love. The film starts of with Bridget waking up on new years day and deciding to make a diary. In this diary she details things like lose weight, find a nice sensible boyfriend etc etc. This will be familiar for many women and i'm sure many of us can relate to her.
