I purchased this Blue Ray DVD from the internet. I have not heard of Blue Ray before but the disk worked fine when played. The film starred Will Ferrell (he appeared in Elf) as Ricky Bobby and Sasha Baron Cohen, (aka Borat and Ali G) as French Racing driver Jean. OK, take the worst parts of Days Of Thunder (which is most of the movie if your honest) then add my least favourite actor - Will Ferrell. Add my second least favourite actor Sacha Baron Cohen & the fact that I laughed 3 times during the whole film. The film is pretty awful. Advantages: Absurd, sweet, consistentally hilarious.
Disadvantages: Not quite up to the standard of, say, Anchorman.

Director Adam McKay's third feature length collaboration with Will Ferrell falls some way short of their previous efforts, Anchorman and Talladega Nights, but it's still a joy to be in the company of, and considerably better than, say, Ferrell's Semi-Pro of the previous year. This central gag is milked for all its worth, and the pair's antics - running the gamut from the gleefully absurd to the psychotic - are frequently hilarious. American Dreamz is the sort of movie that could potentially be very funny. Note that word potentially. Directed by Paul Weitz who also directed About a Boy and American Pie, this movie is set around a popular American reality TV show.
