...my all time favorite films The Matchmaker, now some people may have seen this some not but I would rate it as a stay at home curl up on the couch funny film. Not just for us girlies but my hubby finds this one funny too.

Advantages: Wonderful acting, great script, nicely paced Disadvantages: none to speak of
One of Neil Simon's more accessible & enjoyable screen adaptions. Two old style vaudeville stars agree to reform for a TV special, even though off-screen they hate each other's guts. Directed by Paul Weitz who also directed About a Boy and American Pie, this movie is set around a popular American reality TV show. I saw the trailers for this and thought it looked good, but I never seem to get round to seeing things at the cinema and ended up getting this on DVD instead.
~The Plot~
The story revolves around the biggest TV show ... ...is overheard singing by the American Dreamz crew. The President of the United States (Dennis Quaid) is due to be a judge on the final night of the show, and Omer's leaders have sinister plans for him. What will happen to the president? And who will win American Dreamz?
~What I thought~
Well, like many films, disappointingly, the trailer shows all the best bits and the rest of the film is rubbish! The plot, as I'm sure you can tell from
