James Belushi and Charles Grodin at their best!
Review of Taking Care Of Business DVD by
prom22
Advantages: Strong storyline and plenty of laughs!
Disadvantages: None
Anyone who likes James Belushi will enjoy this film - he is at his best playing a happy-go-lucky, slightly zany convict who comes across the filofax (this film also goes under the title of "Filofax") of workaholic businessman Spencer Barnes - played spectacularly well by the underated Charles Grodin.
Not only is the humour on top form but the storyline is strong and all the ancillary characters are strong as well. This makes for a quality film which ...

Outrageously Funny!
Review of Outrageous Fortune DVD by
Mattroberts
Advantages: -
Disadvantages: -
...forward to see it. Outrageous Fortune is one of those silly comedies that could be a good thriller as well, if the script was written well enough, and different actors were playing the parts. Even though the thriller part of this film would’ve been good, it wouldn’t have been as good as the comedy!
Outrageous Fortune is the sort of film you can watch over and over and never get sick of! I’ve watched it at least five times, and ... ...little as a disadvantage, but Outrageous Fortune is so entertaining that I can’t fault it at all!
Not only is this a comedy, but also it does have a big twist in the middle. At parts it’s like an Agatha Christie novel because you can see why some things happened! Thankfully though, Poirot’s not there investigating!
If you don’t like Bette Midler, you probably won’t like Outrageous Fortune, but there is chance it might ...

Meet the stone family
Review of The Family Stone by
frankiecesca
Advantages: Easy to watch and an array of well known actors
Disadvantages: It isn't the most interesting film you'll ever watch
I bought the family stone for one reason only and that was because the cast was a mix of well known faces! I know I should look for more than this but, being a Sex and the City fan I am always keen to watch anything with Sarah Jessica Parker in! Along with a variety of others who I have seen in other films and enjoyed then it was surely to be a winner wasn't it?
Released in 2005 the film was written and directed by Thomas Bezucha.
The story:
The ... ...every year. When the favourite son, Everett, decides to bring his girlfriend Meredith with him to meet his family it doesn't quite go to plan! He has plans to ask his mother for his grandmother's ring to propose to Meredith but, his family pretty much take an instant dislike to her and find Meredith to be too uptight for Everett. Desperate and needing support, Meredith calls on her sister Julie to come and help. Things just seem to go from bad to ...
