Ok, as a guy I realise this film is a total chick-flick however, as chick-flicks go, it isn't that bad at all. ...has the role of the unlucky in love Bridgette and she is co-starred by Colin Firth and Hugh Grant. I thought she took to the role very well especially adopted her normal southern American accent to a very good proper English one. Also notable is that Richard Curtis was part of the writing team so you can rely on a few good witty lines of dialogue that hark back to his days of writing Blackadder. Bridget Jones was a mere fictional character reated by the author Helen Fielding until the year 2001 when she also came alive on our screens courtesy of Renee Zellweger. The first film version of the novel was a runaway success at the box office, and so followed the second film, based on the 2nd book Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.
