There were some bad thoughts about her being cast at first as she is American and Bridget is most definitely an English lass but she pulls off the English accent very well and in my opinion was the perfect person to play this role. ...by far the best. Bridget Jones is a single 30 year old woman who has had not much luck in love. The film starts of with Bridget waking up on new years day and deciding to make a diary. In this diary she details things like lose weight, find a nice sensible boyfriend etc etc. This will be familiar for many women and i'm sure many of us can relate to her.
