Advantages: Brilliantly done and fantastic characters Disadvantages: If you don't like the 60's and Mike Myers
...be defined, a term that Austin Powers (Mike Myers) uses to wow the ladies in James Bond fashion throughout the triology. This is not your usual James Bond though, and for those of you who have been living under a rock for 10 years and have never heard of the franchise - it's the Bond spoof, only overtime Austin Powers has became a stand alone film that does not rely on tags such as spoof. Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery was the first ... ...afterall that is the decade Austin is from, but after Dr. Evil (also played by Mike Myers) freezes himself and sends himself off into space Austin also has to freeze himself only to be unfroozen when Dr. Evil returns in the 1990's. Advantages: Some funny moments Disadvantages: Lacks impact
...those too stupid to read the drop down at the bottom.
This is a pretty good comedy that has enough grace not to take itself too seriously which is echoed by the Bollywood style ending to the film that divorces reality with actual events.

Advantages: Nice box, some input from cast, decent film. Disadvantages: Very brief special features.
Despite a distinct lack of special features on this DVD, each cast member has a minute or two each to talk about thier character and then there's your basic feature, the slightly over-long feature film does make up for it.
The film flows like a documentary and has very believable though unexpected outcomes for each of its characters. It approaches a harsh subject in a warm way almost praising it whilst admitting that such behaviour has consequences. ... ...the film and associate with the characters. You must remmeber however that this has a story, thus is is not all naked ladies and when there are it will not get your pulses racing. It many ways it shares its story with the structure of a ganster ovie liek scarface, the rise and the fall of a star without ignoring the life and love of his helpers.
All it all it feels real and thats why its a success. Unlike an action film this could and probably has ...

Advantages: setting, Will Smith and great acting Disadvantages: Slightly Pretentious
A truely original film, that totally amazed me when I saw it as I was a fan of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air and never realised quite what a talented actor Will Smith was. This was one of his first major film roles but you would never guess, he plays a working class man who manages to work himself into the lives of several upper class families in the wealthy side of New York, under the pretense that he is the son of Sidney Poitier.
The film is based ... ...the dialogue based script. However dont let that put you off if your not a fan of plays, its a thouroughly entertaining watch with some great actors like Donald Sutherland, Ian McKellen and Heather Graham help add some class to it. The story itself is based on real events although the slightly naive families are probably a little more careful nowadays.
Smith is basically a conman although his motives for the cons are not as clear as you may think, ...
