Laurel & Hardy, Laughs above the rest.
Advantages: Funny, clean humour that stands the test of time.
Disadvantages: Absolutely none!

Laurel & Hardy despite their lack of the above mentioned "humour" have managed to do something that only modern comedians can dream about. They kept the world laughing consistently for years and have continued to do so 60 years after their deaths. I don't know any modern "great" that I'd remember and still be talking about in a year if he disappeared today. There is one exception and I just did a review on that yesterday, but ...
...a nice box with the Laurel & Hardy logo and a pic of the happy two on the top & sides. Opening the box you are presented with a row of real DVD disc boxes, not the usual cardboard or pocket type rubbish. Each disc spine has the part of a picture that makes up the duo's bowler hats when stacked together. The discs are numbered 1-21 with the last one having a title "A special tribute to the boys" along with other comedy shorts.

The Complete Only Fools And Horses - Not Made Like This Anymore
Advantages: Complete story of only fools, neat lay out, excellent viewing
Disadvantages: Still fairly expensive
The Complete Only Fools and Horses chronicles every single episode from the seven series', as well as each feature length and Christmas special. It is extremely well laid out, in chronological order, so that the show can be watched from start to end with no fuss.
The DVDs are all top quality, the sound and pictures are excellent so viewing pleasure is not inhibited in any way. The packaging is also small enough to fit on to shelves, something not ...
...when it first came out, the price. Nearing £200 it was a lot of money for a show that doesn't run anymore, even one as revered as this. Since then, however, the price has fallen by half and so is very much the bargain for any only fools/comedy fan.

...is the complete collection of Vicar of Dibley series. However it doesn't include Comic Relief 2007 special.
(By the way, for those who don't know - this year comic relief special was the last episode of Vicar of Dibley in history. They stop making specials from now on).
