Six disks of pure monty python brilliance!! Each disk contains approx 1 hour off footage, comprising ofinterviews with the actors andmost importantly thier bits sketches. Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin are all individually hillarious and put together, well, thats just amazing. I really like monty python as the comedy is on 2 levels , i watches some of the sketches years ago with my dad and found them funny but now when i watch them i understand more and find it hilarious. absolutly amazing stuff!! There is just this thing about them that is so funny. An altime must see DVD!! ...first time I ever saw Monty Python's Life of Brian (1979) was when Channel 4 showed it as part of their banned season when I was at school (it would have been late 80s/early 90s). I sneaked a video tape in to the machine to record it as coming from a very Christian family I didn't want to upset anyone but I really wanted to see what all the fuss was about and if this film really did contain all the blasphemous content that had earned it a ban. ...Unlike their previous film Monty Python and The Holy Grail where each of the main characters has a section of the film to themselves, this film follows events and scenes which either include or directly involve Brian and it is this focus on the central character that stops this film from becoming a series of silly/funny episodes. ...Orginallly recorded in 1969, Monty Pythons Flying Circus, has become (and rightly so) a British institution. Made up of 5 university students, the team co wrote and starred in quite possibly the funniest series of sketches ever ceated. Chapman with Cleese, Idle with Jones and Gilliam animating profusley in the background, they produced the most bizarre, but highly amusing performances our TV screens have ever seen. Not to mention a fold out poster with every sketch on the flip side to boot. Why are you still reading??? Go and buy it!!!!!
