...those of you who are tenacious D fans this film is truly worthwhile buying. It starts of with a young Jack Black who is the rude rebel in his christian family, with Meat Loaf as his father. if you've seen the trailer then you've seen the best bits of this film. as a jack black fan i wanted to see this and was disappointed with it. jack plays Ignacio, a priest who becomes a luchadore wrestler to raise money for the orphans he cares for. Money is tight there and they struggle to find food which Ignacio cooks (incredibly badly) for the kis and other monks. that's pretty much the whole plot apart from how he finds that his luchadore heroes ...
...and show-offs. the wrestling isn't a big part of this film and the supporting cast don't help it along much. hopefully The pick of destiny is better than this. Jack plays his role well enough but there just isn't enough substance to this movie to make it any good. ... Read review

shallow Hal is a romcom that i will never forget becuase even though theres alot of comedy in it theres a deeper meaning to the film that beauty is only skin deep. The plot Hal loses his dad at a young age and on his dead bed he promises his dad he won't ever go for second best.
