peep show series 5- it just keeps getting better!
Advantages: GREAT COMEDY!
Disadvantages: not enough episodes!

Clever TV adaptation of 'Porterhouse Blue'
Advantages: Witty comical and superb caricatures
Disadvantages: None
A literary review has already observed " Sheer joy not only wildly funny but wickedly observed" and this sums up the pleasure to be found from this DVD. A TV adaptation by Channel 4 this production does justice to the book and really brings the characters to life.
At 194 minutes in length the biggest problem will be deciding when to pause for refreshment and comfort breaks.

Best ever British comedy show - 100%
Advantages: so different

In 2001, the face of TV was changed forever by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, creators or 'The Office'. It's a half hour show, with six episodes in this series, and its genre is mockumentary.
A 'Mockumentary' is a fake documentary - everything is supposed to be real life, but the whole thing is a created show. 'The Office' follows the day in day out life of a paper suboffice in Slough. That's a painfully poor idea for a TV show you would think, ...

David Brent thinks he's the funniest, most inspirational leader ever - a friend, a boss and a comedian, but really he's just an idiot who makes a fool of himself every day. Girls Like Me Don't Make Invitations Like This
Advantages: A fantastic Tarantino film, never a dull moment.
Disadvantages: Blink and you may just lose the plot.

Loving Shakespeare
Advantages: A movie with it all
Disadvantages: None
...it strikes me that 1998's Shakespeare In Love is an incredibly misunderstood movie, furthermore those that are in the category "misunderstood" have some serious wrong views of exactly what Shakespeare In Love is about, many believe it is a straight laced romance.
