The plot is incredibly confused and although perhaps not essential to such a film, you do need to have some understanding of what is going on. This was not helped by the fact that 5 directors were on board (including Huston). It also suffers from actually not being very funny too despite the roster of 'comic' actors. Niven probably fairs the best as the aging Bond ...

It's honest, that's it. It's honest.

Advantages: An excellent commedy drama packed full of incredible songs.
Disadvantages: Lots of swear words.

My Reasons For Purchasing The Commitments Film: This has to be one of the best Comedy-Dramas of 1991 in my opinion. Feel good family of Freaks.

Advantages: Funny, and all round good comedy and acting.
Disadvantages: none!

Bill Murray Shines

Advantages: Great performaces, entertaining set pieces
Disadvantages: A few too many cultural stereotypes

It is a story of a chance encounter between 2 people in a Tokyo hotel - Bob Harris (Bill Murray) and Charlotte (Scarlett Johansson).
