What attracted me to this film was, I have to admit, the sick basic premise - 'crazy butcher kills people and sells their parts to others'. The fact that it was in another language and subtitled just made it seem even more underground and a good film to add to my repertoire. The film starts by showing a man trying to escape from a building by wrapping himself in newspaper and hiding in a dustbin when it is refuse collection time. However, he yelps ...
...point of view, and we see a manically grinning man with an enormous cleaver looking into the can. Cue opening titles. We then learn that this film is based in a post-apocalyptic world, where society has apparently been driven to cannabilism due to the extreme lack of resources that some disaster - natural or otherwise - has caused. We learn there are a few major cities left, these are dangerous places but the big expanses of nothingness inbetween ...

Review of Delicatessen (Subtitled) (Wide Screen) (DVD)

Brilliantly funny - but not for the faint hearted

Advantages: Brilliantly funny, topical storyline
Disadvantages: Not for the faint hearted, swearing can be a bit tasteless at times

In The Loop is the story of the US and the UK and their plans to go to war in the Middle East (ring any bells?), with one government minister putting his foot in it at all times. Review of In The Loop

Is it worth to watch it ? YES !!!

Advantages: Gives very good lesson, has very good story and moreover is very entertaining.
Disadvantages: The second half of movie was a little bit dull.

Do you envy Roderick for makeing love to 101 women?

Advantages: Good story
Disadvantages: I wish I stopped watching at the end of the first hour.
