Review of Ghosts of Girlfriends Past

Brilliantly funny - but not for the faint hearted

Advantages: Brilliantly funny, topical storyline
Disadvantages: Not for the faint hearted, swearing can be a bit tasteless at times

In The Loop is the story of the US and the UK and their plans to go to war in the Middle East (ring any bells?), with one government minister putting his foot in it at all times. Review of In The Loop

Classically Funny Bro-mantic comedy

Advantages: funny, well scripted, well acted
Disadvantages: A little slow to get going

Last night my wife and I sat down to watch this. The blurb described it as a “Bro-mance” it could equally be called a “Bro-Com”. The premise is simple. ...comedy after all. I have to say I felt good about the film. That wasn’t just the wine talking either. It was a good fun film, awkward and cringe worthy in places, but mostly classy and hilarious. Paul Rudd is a good actor and he pulls off the role well and you could easily believe he has no friends. Jason Segel is equally good and their on screen chemistry is believable and moving.
