hairspray is light and fun

Advantages: fantastic soundtrack and cast
Disadvantages: lots of singing.... if you dont like singing

Hairspray is a movie that involves a LOT of singing. So if musicals aren't for you, i highly suggest you put this one back down on the shelf and walk away. Music and Lyrics

Advantages: Good fun film with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore.
Disadvantages: A little forgettable.

Do We Care Yet?

Advantages: An okay soundtrack.
Disadvantages: Mishandled comedy, lazy direction, writing and performances.
