...suprise to see Colin take the lead role in the first cinematic version of the stage play and book by Oscar Wilde. I have to say though that I'm not a great fan of period pieces and all the Jane Austen adaptions have been well and truly missed by me, except of course a quick peak at the infamous lake scene in Pride and Prejudice to see what all the fuss was about. Well my love for Colin Firth was greater than my dislike of period pieces on this occassion ...

Santa's Clauses

Advantages: Full Of Christmassy Fun For Kids
Disadvantages: Not As Good As The First Film

Disadvantages: Too many to list

...and gave up, it's awful. Home Alone 1+2 are probably some of my favourite movies of all time and they can be appreciated by kids and adults alike. I don't understand how kids could ever even like this movie. A plodding script with seemingly no structure, the worst acting i've ever seen and the little kid is an annoying little git who just copies what Macaulay Culkin did in 1+2. I'm not going to go into detail about the plot or 'character development' ...

The wedding of the year 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding'

Advantages: Fun, nice story
Disadvantages: Predictable

I first watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding a few years ago and although it hasn't become one of my favourite films, I do still watch it from time to time. The film first came out in 2002 so has been around for quite a while now. The story of the film is based around a character called Toula Portokalos (Christina Eleusiniotis).
