After recently reviewing Monty Python's The Life of Brian, I thought id give a review on their other great classic, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Released in 1975 and weighing in with a running time of 98 minutes this film fits in perfectly with their weird and wacky off the wall humour which they have made a success of ever since their television show; Monty Python's Flying Circus. Advantages: Hilarious, great extras, funny everytime you watch it
Disadvantages: Nothing!

I have loved Monty Python since seeing Monty Python's flying circus years ago, so when I saw this collector's edition dvd box set of 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' for sale in HMV I couldn't resist buying it. (and I love it even more now that Michael Palin was an honorary graduate at my graduation and I stood about five feet away from him! ...this film. All of the Monty Python cast are hilarious. It is not a serious film in the slightest and I find it very easy watching. There are also some songs throughout the film which are really well written with silly lyrics and catchy tunes. My favourite bit in the film is when all of the knights pretend to be riding along on their horses whilst their servants make horse noises with coconuts. It's so ridiculous. Advantages: Funny, great acting
Disadvantages: Story falls apart towards the end

...film is about two friends, Zack Brown (Seth Rogan) and Miriam Linky (Elizabeth Banks) who find themselves in financial difficulty to the extent where they are unable to pay their bills and their electricity, water and heating has been cut off. Disadvantages: dull, dull and far too predictable

...the best they could with what they were given, however it didn't cover up a really weak script and lack of imagination. The characters were all one dimensional (I can barely even remember either of the best friends) and it was all a bit boring to me by the end. Advantages: A good concept but it didn't live up to its potential.
Disadvantages: Where do I start?
