Advantages: Brilliant twists, fantastic acting
Disadvantages: Slightly long, but that's nit-picking

When I first heard of The Sting, I thought it was a horror movie about killer bees. Hence my surprise when I found out that it won the 1973 Best Picture and Best Director Oscars. However, since then I realised that it was a conman movie, and I liked the sound of this version even more. Advantages: brilliant plot and strong acting

...hearted and jovial as the theme music suggests it still manages to flow nicely with the slightly darker drama not spoiling anything but only serving to make it feel more grown up. The cast are all very good and make the film easy to watch. Redford comes off the best in terms of characters and his role really suits both his carefree attitude (the start of the film) but also his more serious side (the rest of the film). Serving Sara is one of those films that you love to hate. The storyline isn't the best it could be and neither the acting nor filming perfect but it is still an enjoyable romantic comedy.
