Disadvantages: Not a lot!

The Things People Will Do for Money!

Advantages: Plenty of madcap mayhem! ie slapstick humour aplenty, good cast, good story
Disadvantages: The humour is a little violent, the English character is very stereotyped - what-ho!

Lemmon & MacLaine Return and Are Even Wilder Now

Advantages: Wilder, MacLaine, Lemmon; great, Oscar winning score by Previn
Disadvantages: Too long, with a few too many endings; not for every taste

Liar, Liar, pants on fire

Advantages: Classic, good performances, good cast, good storyline
Disadvantages: Dated for some, Black and White

Billy Liar is a film which is so typical of it's day. Filmed in black and white it shows a northern lad's dreams and hopes of escaping to a better life. Review of Billy Liar (DVD)

Actually quite Good!

Advantages: Good acting, wonderful views, good characters
Disadvantages: Well it is John Wayne!

I was very surprised to find another film where John Wayne is not playing his usual cowboy! In this film he takes the role of Donovan, a bar owner.
