...just sit in front of the telly for a coupleof hours you can't do wrong by buying a copy of this film! Even thought his is an old film he DVD quality was rather good. In the early days of railway cut backs a small country local line has the possibility of closure hanging over its head. The ensuing fun and games that follow are a real hoot and a watchable delight. …And The Best Actor Award Goes To The Chimp!

Advantages: Marilyn Monroe, good cast, talented chimps
Disadvantages: Not funny, embarrassing, stereotypes

I had seen Monkey Business a few years ago, but not since and as I am working my way through the DVDs on The Diamond Collection boxset, I thought it would be a pleasant enough way to spend 97 minutes of this afternoon. Monkey Business is a black and white film from 1952, directed by Howard Hawks. One thing which especially irritated was how the audience are told when the Fultons are under the influence of the formula by the use of visual clues - Edwina lets her hair down, Barnaby takes his glasses off. The wedding of the year 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding'

Advantages: Fun, nice story
Disadvantages: Predictable

I first watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding a few years ago and although it hasn't become one of my favourite films, I do still watch it from time to time. The film first came out in 2002 so has been around for quite a while now. The story of the film is based around a character called Toula Portokalos (Christina Eleusiniotis). Toula is from a greek family, who take the traditions of their culture very seriously. Her family own a resteraunt called 'Dancing ...

Advantages: sick slick rapid succession of one line jokes

Fawlty towers (Timeless comedy)

Advantages: Very verry funny
