Bridget Jones was a mere fictional character reated by the author Helen Fielding until the year 2001 when she also came alive on our screens courtesy of Renee Zellweger. The first film version of the novel was a runaway success at the box office, and so followed the second film, based on the 2nd book Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. Bridget is back!!! Yes, Bridget Jones is back in the second installment from her diary, entitled The Edge of Reason. This film also follows the book of the same name, written by Helen Fielding. I'm not sure why not really, I don't think the story is as good as the first one but it might be because the first one was so new and different that it was hard to follow up with an even better story. ...with the book, is that Bridget always reminds me of me a few years ago. What crazy, unloved and desperate you say?! There were some bad thoughts about her being cast at first as she is American and Bridget is most definitely an English lass but she pulls off the English accent very well and in my opinion was the perfect person to play this role.
