Disadvantages: Quite cheesy and very predictable storyline

Ive seen this film twice now... I loved it the first time...but i found that it is a film that you will not enjoy the second time you watch it. This is a typical chick flick film, similar to other films such as 'mean girls'. It has some funny moments, but the story line is fairly predictable. I watched 27 Dresses on a rainy Monday evening. After having been out and about shopping and getting wet and miserable, I returned home, made myself a hot chocolate, got my duvet and looked forward to watching a film full of girly fun, gorgeous men and weepy storylines. Advantages: The loving relationship between father and daughter was very realistic and caring
Disadvantages: The smoking scene is a big mistake for this type of film.

I am in two minds about this film, don't get me wrong I enjoyed it however I found it overlong and quite confusing. This story is based on a guy telling his daughter a story to his daughter and she has to work out which of the ladies he has dated was her mum. You see him over a period time when hes working for Bill Clintons campaign and the women who come into and out of his life. One of the things that really put me off was the discussion of smoking ...

...was intrigued as to whether the book would be done justice. As has been the case with some book to film conversions, they don't always turn out as good as the book. However when i saw the film i was pleasantly surprised. Although it does cut out quite a few bits from the book, the film maintains the storyline, and really brings to life the harsh reality of working in such a superficial industry.
