Classic, Emmy award winning U.S sitcom
Review of The Golden Girls - Season 1 (Box Set) by
IanPhillips
Advantages: The performances of the four lead stars
Disadvantages: None
...this programme finished (its sequel, The Golden Palace failed to live up to the dynamics of The Golden Girls and was scapped after just one season of 24 episodes)! Though it wound up production well over ten years ago, The Golden Girls (1985 - 1992) still firmly ranks as one of my all-time favourite sitcoms. The Golden Girls was a huge success throughout the duration of its run, collecting ten emmy awards including one for this first season for outstanding ... ...episodes were produced of The Golden Girls. In 2005 Buena Vista Home Entertainment began releasing the early seasons of The Golden Girls (and not before time!). This 4-disc set of the first season is attractively packaged , containing all 25 episodes and also boasts a bonus feature which sees Joan and Melissa Rivers offering their own witty fashion critique to the now laughably dated and kitschy wardrobe of The Golden Girls. The Golden Girls is set ...

Review of The Simpsons - Series 2 - Complete DVD by
craig-atkinson-uk
Advantages: 22 Awesome Episodes
Disadvantages: Non as yet, simpsons never fail me to date..
im a collector of the simpsons DVD's and will always recommend any product to do with there making if ur a collector like me this wil be one item you will confidently wanting to add to your collection
The Simpsons hit the big sreens in the winter of 1989 and have been entertaining audiences since, viewers are eagerly awaiting there 19th season to be broadcast on fox in september of this year (2007) and after there movie has just been realeased the ... ...many hours of laughter that the simpsons have provided us with.
In Season 2 we see more mis-haps and troubles that the family have to face such as lisas crush on a substitute teacher that fills in for miss hoover, and we see grampa simpsons find love within the heart of an very wealthy old women who when on her passing from this leaves her inhertience to grampa, also we met homers "cheap side" as he illegally connects to watching free cable but ...

The Start of the Golden Age
Review of The Simpsons - Series 3 - Complete DVD by
Sqwert88
Advantages: Great stories, great guest stars and some great DVD features
Disadvantages: Mr Lisa goes to Washington
The Simpsons is quite possibly the greatest television show of all time. The newer episodes aren't quite as great but who cares about them this is series 3, the start of The Simpsons golden age. Epsiodes like Mr Lisa goes to Washington and Colonel Homer are a bit weak but the vast majority are hilarious. My personal highlights are Burns Verkaufen der Kraftwerk where Germans takeover the nuclear power plant and announce one redundancy (Homer), Stark ... ...Michael Jackson and Homer at the Bat which is easily one of the top 10 Simpsons episodes so far.
A vast array of guest stars from Michael Jackson to Aerosmith, Sting to Kelsey Grammer and pretty much the whole cast of Homer at the Bat just makes the season even better, especially as the epsiodes actually have good stories and aren't just relying on the guests to get people viewing.
Those are just my personal favourites but the full episode list ...

KING OF QUEENS - 9 SERIES OF COMEDY
Review of King Of Queens - Series 1 DVD by
Jelboy
Advantages: Fantastic characters with simple storyline - laughs for anyone
Disadvantages: Myabe some discontinuinity in peripheral characters
...as a huge fan of King of Queens, and because after watching all complete 9 series. A lot of people wrote off the show after watching a couple of episodes in the first series. Unbeleivably, this was a huge msitake. The King of Queens grew to be an Emmy nominated American sitcom that ran from 1998-2007. The program also won 2 peoples choice awards, and two actors won image awards and an emmy for their performances.
"Intro and plot of show"
The King ... ...smell his pre dinner Burger King Whopper on his body.
Carrie is a legal secretary (for most of the time) who finds work at several law firms. Her image is fierce. A lot of people find her scary. She is the complete opposite to Doug. Her use of profanity and mannerisms she uses are equally moments of geinus. The on set partnership she creates with Doug is unbeleivable. It fits perfectly.
These two characters could have on their own made this program ...
