The Pixies... a great band for every generation. Trompe leMonde... the album that ended that generation. In fact, Trompe leMonde is credited with being one of the greatest Pixies albums and appears in many top 100 albums of the 1990's.
The album itself was released in 1991 and includes a wide variety of music, and can be described as highly eclectic, no matter how cliched the term has become. It is definitely one of Black Francis's finer musical moments.
It contains 'U-Mass' and 'Planet of Sound', two songs which both appear on the Pixies best of album, Death to the Pixies, as well as 'Head On', which is a Jesus and the Mary Chain cover. Tracks such as 'Planet of Sound' and 'Subbacultcha' provide the more rock based moments on the record, whilst lighter tracks such as 'Letter to Memphis' and 'Motorway to Roswell' give Black ...
Advantages: Quality, selection of food and drinks. Disadvantages: Perhaps the stairs.
LeMonde is situated in the heart of Cardiff City Centre close to the Central Station on St. Mary Street.
A long flight of stairs takes you to the first floor where you will find this dimly lit restaurant called LeMonde.

LeMonde is the best known fish restaurant in
Cardiff although they do serve alternatives to fish.
No need to book here. You choose a table and when you are ready to order you take a trip to the refrigerated displays where there is a huge selection of fresh fish and meat ...

Advantages: hilarious, featuring lots of British talent Disadvantages: not one to sit and watch with grandma
it were put in one room to watch it again, there would probably be constant laughter throughout.
This film is more suitable for some people than others. Those who are easily offended by strong language, drug use, and sex should steer clear. I am aware that some people for whom English is not their first language struggle to follow the film entirely, and unfortunately the DVD does not have subtitles.
However, 18 to 35-year-old audiences in particular will probably enjoy this film, especially those who may have been to similar clubs in the early 90s and enjoy the music from that time.
Although the film doesn't have subtitles, there are some interesting features and interviews on the disc.
Not many people have heard of this film, which isn't surprising given most independent British films' difficulties in finding the funds ...
Put on your dancing shoes and step back to 1993, when London was Rave Central and a hotspot for clubbers. CLUB LE MONDE takes you on a drug-fuelled night of debauchery on the seedy London club scene. The plot follows several lost souls trying to find themselves in drugs, sex, underage drinking, and rave music.
