Advantages: Peter Kay at his best once again Disadvantages: 1 Disc when it really should be on 2
...: This short but sweet series deserves a good 8/10, the only downside is that its all packed on to 1 disc. There are a few places where slight pixelation can be noticed but nothing to be concerned over. Can be picked up for around £13-14 depending on where you look but is definately worth the investment.

Two years ago in the States a series of DVD's under the title 42nd Street Forever hit the shelves, each two hour DVD was filled with trailers from the Grindhouse era. The success of this encouraged the release of Grindhouse TrailerClassics. This UK release of the 42nd Street DVD's features a combination of some of the best of the trailers. The only downside to this is that strict UK censorship means that some of the trailers cannot be seen, because the movies are so extreme (allegedly) that even the trailers are banned.
This DVD holds 55 trailers in total; the genres are varied from softcore sex romps to high gore horror movies, from religious tales to unusual...

Advantages: Classic film with tons of extras Disadvantages: The cut scenes mentioned aren't included!
...The Film:
A modern classic, you chould already have seen this on the big screen. If you haven't the DVD is a complete package that provides the full widescreen release and plenty of background and making of information.
The journey of Kevin Spacey's character to self knowledge, respect and - as we're told in the first seconds of the film - death. Funny, dark and worthy of repeat viewings.
The DVD:
Not only the film, but also a complete directors commentary with many snippets of inside info on cut scenes, rewrites and plot changes. Also the cinema trailers, short 'making of' documentary and stroyboards.
Five Stars all the way!...
