student, and i know that makes me sound rather like a pompous fool dropping it in, but it kind of takes Artaud's idea of theatre of the absurd, so if you know what that is then maybe you will start to understand the cirque........
LaNouba is the resident show in Downtown Disney in Florida. Now i've seen this show, and luckily i had front row seats in the very middle which was an experiance and a half, but i've also seen another live show, saltimbanco, in paris. I also own dvds of other shows, and i'll be honest whilst they are entertaining, the can't even challenge the live shows.
In my opinion LaNouba is the best show, or rather it is my favourite. The soundtrack is amazing, and i even bought the cd of it and listen to it. The whole production really is amazing and the interaction between charachters and the complete fantastic ...

I am a huge fan of the CirqueDuSoleil shows and have been lucky enough to win tickets to two of the shows. The last time I won tickets I couldn't actually go on the night they offered me the VIP package so they advised they could offer me two seats in the best section instead and they would send me a few bits of merchandise to make up for not being able to enjoy the VIP package. One of these items was the DVD of the show. I didn't actually watch it until recently as I completely forgot they had given it to me as when it had arrived in the post I had simply put it on my shelf to watch after seeing the real thing!
Directed by Nick Morris this DVD is the full show of Varekai. It was filmed back in 2003 and was during a performance at the Grand Chapiteau in Toronto.

This is a boxedDVDset, which I must admit had been sitting unwatched and ignored in the cupboard for some time. I believe the set was a Christmas Gift to my other half a few years ago, which we never got around to watching, probably because we already owned a couple of the movies as single dvds!
The set consist of three popular Mel Gibson movies, on three individual discs. They comprise of 'We Were Soldiers', 'Mad Max' and 'Lethal Weapon'. The box is really rather uninteresting, just three pictures of Gibson in each of the movies on the front and a small amount of information about each film on the reverse, along with information about directors and classification.
