Cinderella is a classic Disney film that most children will have watched at some point - it is the fairytale type story and is the 12th animated film made by Disney.
The story: Cinderella lives with her step mum and two step sisters Anastasia and Drizella and after her father passed away they were all left living in their huge home together. However, her step mother makes her do all the housework and treats her generally very badly. Her two step sisters are smothered by their mother and are absolutely dreadful, shouting at poor Cinderella all day and night.
One day the King decides he wants to find the Prince a wife and so arranges a ball to be held for all the eligible women in the Kingdom. When the step mother realises that Cinderella is eligible she says she can go as long as all her chores are done. However, she tries her very best to stop her going in every way possible and eventually with no dress to wear poor Cinderella is left upset and left at home on her own. This is where the magic happens with a fairy godmother coming along to give Cinderella a chance to go to the ball with a beautiful dress, glass slippers and a gorgeous carriage to take her to the ball. She tells Cinderella she has until midnight before her dress will return to her normal scrubs and that she must leave before then.
Once at the ball the Prince spots her and asks her for a dance. They spend the evening together talking and dancing and the prince is upset to see her leave in a hurry when the clock strikes midnight. Cinderella runs off and as she leaves her glass slipper falls off which the Prince finds and he vows to find the girl with the glass slipper who he will then marry.
So will the Prince find Cinderella or will her step mother stop him from finding her?

Overall opinion: I think Cinderella is another classic film people will either have seen as a child or watched with their own children at some point as it is a typical Disney fairytale. The characters are well created to make us love them or hate them, in the case of the evil stepmother! I particularly like the animals in this film as they have been created with such character and play a big role in the film. The facial features they have will really appeal to young children and overall they are very lovable. Cinderella is much geared towards the female audience as it has a young woman who gets to go the ball in a beautiful gown and meet Prince charming, but I'm sure all children will have watched this at some point!
I highly recommend this film to any families DVD collection and I'm sure it will be watched over and over again!
The film is rated 'U' so suitable for all ages. You can buy at various online stores at around the £12 mark.

...upto all expectations. Cinderella is a young girl who lives with her father following the death of her mother. Her father remarries and his new wife has two daughters (Anastasia and Drizella) and a cat called Lucifer. When Cinderella's father dies, her stepmother favours her own two daughters and Cinderella becomes a slave in her own house. Meanwhile, the King of the land is fed up of his son not finding a wife. He decides to throw a ball and tells ... ...are allowed to go but Cinderella is told she can only go if she finishes all her chores. She does finish them but out of anger at some of their things being used to make her dress, the 2 sisters tear it to shreads. Cue the fairy godmother. She is a fantastic character. She turns everything she can see into something which will help Cinderella go to the ball. This film is brilliant if you love a fairytale. The mice are brilliant helping "Cinderelly" ...

Advantages: A beautifully aminated adventure through magic and romance. Disadvantages: A girly film, maybe not the best for boys.
This wonderful, colourful amination is what every girl would describe as fairytale.
Wonderful amination means the characters are lively, beautifully drawn and loveable. The brief story is, as everyone knows, about a young girl orphaned and left in the care of her wicked step-mother. More beautiful then her step sisters this girl is reduced to slavery in her own home.
But with the help of some furry friends, a fairy god mother and a little bit of ... ...midnight! After a wonderful night with her Prince, she looses her crystal slipper on the way out. Leaving her prince to search far and wide to find her.
A wonderful story that will keep adults and children engrossed.
Some great music and fimilar songs too.
Well worth the money, you will watch this masterpeice time and time again. ...

Advantages: no matter how many time you watch it, you don't get tired of it! Disadvantages: there is none!
No matter how many times you watch this film you never get sick of it! The first time I saw this was when I was about 7yr old...I imagined I was Cinderella...when the film had finished I started acting out the film!
Then when I watched it when I was 15 yrs old it made me realise that no matter who you are or what you look like you will find your prince charming! When Walt Disney made this film I don't think they really expected it to have the reaction ... ...dream to become a princess, and when you watch this film you really are!
This film will go on forever!
I recently watched it again and the story seems to get better with age, you seem to see things in the film that you missed the first time round! Unbeatable film! The special effects in this film are great...the way the animals are Cinderella's only friends really pulls at you're heart strings...and then what they do to the dress is remarkable! ...

Advantages: Charming, easy watching, kids like it Disadvantages: events and characters out of context
This animated film is the follow up to the "original" Cinderellaanimated film. As seemingly with most of their successful movies nowadays, as with other producers, there is a sequel produced. It is not necessary to have seen the first movie to be able to watch this. In fact, we watched this before seeing the first film without any loss of enjoyment. However, it is helpful to know the basic story. But then who doesn't the basic story?
Thus, set within a story of the mice making a book for "Cinderelly" to read, there are three separate stories. The basic theme, which is good for children, if they really understand the message, is that you should always be yourself and things will work out fine.
The first is "Aim to please". This tells the story of what happens to Cinderella after she comes back from honeymoon. The king and her ...

The first cinderella was much better than this one (as with most sequels) and was a disney classic. This film goes on to tell us about Cinderellas change from RAGS to ROBES and what happened after it. Cinderella was a slave to her step mother (whats a fairy tale without a wicked step moter?!?) and she hated it. Everything turns out okay in the end when the prince marrys her and they live ...
Advantages: Language very clear and easy to understand by children from age 3 .You do not need to watch cinderella (1) to follow the stories Disadvantages: It contains the story iniatially being narrated which could confuse younger kids a bit at the beginning
My daughter bought this dvd when she was 5 years old, she is nearly seven now and still enjoys watching this dvd.
This dvd is not only one story about cinderella, but stories about her since she got married to the prince. The story line are easy to understand and very funny.
This dvd appeals to all ages from 3 years old up to at least 8 years old (even as an adult i enjoyed watching it) It is a much have to every little girl who dreams of becoming a princess.
The intial story is about how cinderella changes the place when she became a princess, and the other story is about when one of her mouse friends wanted to become a human being and what happened. (this particular story is hilarious). ...
