With smart foresight, the filmmakers choose to go with three snappy short films to comprise this 73-minute feature with the Fairy Godmother granting wishes to various characters. In the opening short, Cinderella must pursue life as queen. Several feathers are ruffled as she brings her down-home ways to the castle (bring the commoners in and open those darn curtains). In the other tales, one of Cinderella's animal pals receives a chance to see the world quite differently and finally, Anastasia, Cinderella's formerly evil stepsister, finds love with a little help. As with the other sequels, the look of the film helps bring the distance between the original and the sequel (here over 50 years) come together seamlessly. Little ones from age four to nine should be entertained while purists may be a bit aghast. --Doug Thomas, Amazon.com

This is the magical story of what happened to Cinderella after she married the Prince. She lives in the castle but doesn't want to be waited on and she doesn't want to lose her friends in the village. This story looks back on her years as Cinders when Gus and the rest of the mice were her friends. It tells stories of how the mice helped her and now that she is the Princess the mice want to be able to do things for her, but they think that she has forgotten all about them. It starts off with the mice making a story book of Cinderella's life and through her life journies, it tells of the adventures that they had. It tells of how she was being taught to be a Princess, all the different things that as Royalty she had to learn. I have watched this film quite a few times now and it never ceases to amaze me how "Disney" it is. The animations are just wonderful, the expressions on the little faces of the mice, the colours, the songs, the voices of the actors playing the mice, it is a truly lovely family film.
I have often wonder how they can make a sequel to the original story, but Disney have done this with class. Well worth the money, well worth the time I've spent watching it. A fantastic film.
Advantages: Charming, easy watching, kids like it Disadvantages: events and characters out of context
...This animated film is the follow up to the "original" Cinderellaanimated film. As seemingly with most of their successful movies nowadays, as with other producers, there is a sequel produced. It is not necessary to have seen the first movie to be able to watch this. In fact, we watched this before seeing the first film without any loss of enjoyment. However, it is helpful to know the basic story. But then who doesn't the basic story?
Thus, set within a story of the mice making a book for "Cinderelly" to read, there are three separate stories. The basic theme, which is good for children, if they really understand the message, is that you should always be yourself and things will work out fine.
The first is "Aim to please". This tells the story of what happens to Cinderella after she comes back from honeymoon. The king and her...

Advantages: Language very clear and easy to understand by children from age 3 .You do not need to watch cinderella (1) to follow the stories Disadvantages: It contains the story iniatially being narrated which could confuse younger kids a bit at the beginning
...My daughter bought this dvd when she was 5 years old, she is nearly seven now and still enjoys watching this dvd.
This dvd is not only one story about cinderella, but stories about her since she got married to the prince. The story line are easy to understand and very funny.
This dvd appeals to all ages from 3 years old up to at least 8 years old (even as an adult i enjoyed watching it) It is a much have to every little girl who dreams of becoming a princess.
The intial story is about how cinderella changes the place when she became a princess, and the other story is about when one of her mouse friends wanted to become a human being and what happened. (this particular story is hilarious)....

DVD Description
This sequel to Disney's classic CINDERELLA, made over 50 years after its predecessor, picks up where the original left off. Cinderella has married Prince Charming and returned to the palace, her new home, after the honeymoon when she learns that adapting to her lifestyle may be even more difficult than escaping her evil stepmother. Finding herself in the role of Royal Hostess but unfamiliar with the traditions of the Royal Court, Cinderella worries that her provincial manner of entertaining will be inappropriate. However, with the help of some familiar mice and her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella hopes that she can produce a celebration that compliments the sensibilities of her new family. Filled with new music, characters from the original film, and a brand new version of Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, CINDERELLA II is sure to delight a new generation of both children and adults.
