Advantages: Chock full of humour and great ethos Disadvantages: Special effects are now so dated.
...is hysterically funny, witty, loyal, friendly, he just oozes character.
I cannot warn people enough if you buy this, the special effects to watch now are not special. They are extremely dated. After being spoilt by modern viewing i thought my children would turn their noses up at this......but they love it. After watching you hear them all singing the Monkey Magic theme tune. Even many adults that view it admit that it is so dated but they still get something out of watching it. I honestly believe that it is impossible to hate the show, simply for the virtues and intentions of the programme, and additionally it gets amny adults laughing at the banter. Advantages: Funny, very funny, very very funny Disadvantages: You will hurt yourself laughing - does not come witha health warning!
...as monkey boy!
The man (and he is) has the incredible knack of making everyday events hilarious! Simple as that.
My only comparison I can make is that Lee Evans is like Norman Wisdom on speed! Fast, Funny and in the words of 'Father Ted' Feckin Funny.
Nan will love him, I love him, my mum loves him and so should YOU!
So - Go and buy, rent, borrow, steal or beg the DVD Now!...

Hmmm - I'm wiping the egg off my face as we speak: I LOVED it!
Here's the gist - up in space, astronaut (Mark Wahlberg) goes off in capsule to recover lost monkey, passes through timewarp and lands on futuristic Ape-dominated planet. Is captured, escapes, develops ape love interest (hairy but strangely gorgeous Helena Bonham-Carter) and ultimately helps human underclass avoid mass wipeout by apes. OK, I know, the plot isn't cutting edge, but it's riveting nonetheless
Planet of the Apes 2001 is really atmospheric - the music, incidentally...
