Professional reviews
Review: As exhilarating, idiosyncratic and thought provoking as Berry's ageless rock & roll! (Rolling Stone, 14/02/2007)
Advantages: catchy as hell classic oi punk that even makes my grandma sing a long Disadvantages: songs sound a bit alike after several times
..."Saints and Sinners" was the ninth album of this Durch Oi / hardcore band from Eindhoven Rock City. Troughout the years Discipline developed from a more hardcore orientated band to a more classic oi outfit. Being great football fans of local heroes PSV Eindhoven it isn't surprising to notice some classic hooligan anthems on this album. The first track "everywhere we go" sets the tone. A more than decent production, catchy guitar riffs and songs with a high sing along potential are the standard on this cd.
Lyrically the outlaw live is being put in the spotlight besides the love for football and rock and roll. (HailhailRock n Roll / Rebel without a cause )
Personally I consider this one to be the best cd Discipline has made up till now. Released in 2002 on I Scream records this album is overall the most solid discipline has ever made...

Advantages: Excellent unconventional music, some beautiful songwriting Disadvantages: Takes a while to grow on you.
.... A play on the saying "Hail To The Chief", it was just too obvious to be Radiohead. Indeed, they denied such accusations, preferring to let their music masterpiece do the talking.
This isn't OK Computer. It isn't Kid A. It isn't like anything that they've produced before, and when you've covered the musical ground that Radiohead have, you could have forgiven them for crossing explored territory. They take their ball and run with it through unchartered waters and continue to turn heads with a definitive sound unlike any other band. Hail To The Thief was billed as a return to the band's original guitar-driven routes. You can just hear the laughter as they introduce a roaring rock anthem to open the album, only to deviate from the expected course down a road far less travelled. There is no genre to place this record in. The band refuse to...

...Radiohead are arguably the most original band in the history of music. Their last 5 albums have been innovative, overwhelming and texturess to the point where your ears fill up with harmony and astral. Hail to the Thief (HttT) is nothing short of this. Compared to their last albums, HttT has more songs, but a lot less electronic influence. The songs seem to have more room to breath and have a lot more air (or silence) flowing through them, making the album perfectly capable of having more songs. Here's three of my favourite songs, analysed and explained by me (SUBJECTIVE):
'"2+2=5'"
As the title suggests, the song is to do with in-equality, but specifically political in-equality. The repeating line ?you've not been, paying attention?, initially gave me the idea that Thom Yorke was angry at us for not being aware of the reality of 9...
