I am a mature student just finishing my second year at uni (hurray!) I also have a very lively 7 yr old daughter, who likes to keep me on my toes. Life is far from dull believe me !! x

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a musical that i enjoyed as a child and is now enjoyed by my own child. It is a film that you can sit down and watch over and over no matter what the age, an excellent family experience. The characters are entertaining even Dick Van Dyke and his dodgy English accent. The music is catchy and entertaining and i often find myself singing along with my musical obssessed daughter. The role of the villain is well cast in the form of the child-catcher whose sinister attempts to lure the children from their hideouts leaves you shouting at the screen. Special effects are what you would expect for that era, but it doesnt mar the enjoyment of this charming family film. It is a timeless classic that will be enjoyed by many for years to come!

I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good? Sorry for the low rating. It's a good start but if you wanted higher ratings then you need to say more. Perhaps you could tell us more of what you think without giving too much away. What did you think of the acting? If you read other film reviews you'll see what is needed for higher ratings. If you edit this let me know via my guestbook and I'll happily re-read it.
