Due to my daughters extensive dvd collection i will attempt to write another review, this time on this rather marvellous dvd.
The children's favourites bumper special dvd is a compilation dvd of 10 different cartoons. Featured on this single disc edition are,
Barney - TREE-mendous trees,
Learn about the importance of trees, their different shapes and sizes, and about the animals that live in them!!
This is by no means my favourite as i'm really freaked out by the prospect of a 6 foot purple dinosaur!!! However my 2 year old son adores him, especially the i love you song played at the end (which is my favourite part ... the end!!!!)
Pingu - Pingu and the seagull,
Pingu is plagued by a mischievous seagull, however, the seagull soon gets into a spot of bother and requires some aid....
I love pingu and have done for years ...
Advantages: Nine different episodes - less likely to get bored! Disadvantages: Not all the episodes are great!
This is the second review i have wrote on these compilation childrensdvd's.
The one i am reviewing today is the "christmas childrensfavourites" dvd.
After installing a not so materialistic view of christmas into my children,( at least trying to!!!), one of their favourite things to get them in the festive spirit,(after making christmas cookies), is watching endless christmas themed dvds, so after spying this one last christmas i felt it was a worthwhile investment.
The contents - as you would expect all the episodes on this single disc dvd are christmas or winter themed, all intent on inducing a fuzzy warm festive feeling!!!!

My top ten children shows are from the early 90’s period and so are of a different age to shows like Bagpuss and are older than the shows like Fimbles. They are also from when I was small at an age such as 3. Here they are in no specific order of favouritism:
1. Thomas the Tank Engine
I always loved Thomas the Tank Engine because probably I had the same name as him. He was my childhood hero and I thought it brilliant how every time the show was on, there was a new simple structured story for the child to follow.
