Chicken Little is one of my daughter's favourite films and therefore I felt obliged to review it for those who are unsure whether it lives up to the hype.
Story:
Chicken Little is based (loosely I must stress) on the fable of the same name (and also known as The Sky is Falling). Set in Oakey Oaks, a small suburban town, Chicken Little tells the story of the titles namesake and how he believes the sky is falling. He comes to believe this after receiving a bump on his head from something that fell from the sky… he was sitting under a large oak tree at the time. Unfortunately for him, he screams this at the top of his lungs and sends the whole town into a panic. Eventually the town's people calm enough to ask him what happened but he can no longer find the "piece of sky". His father, Buck Chuck, feeling extremely embarrassed, tells the town's people it must have just been an acorn that fell on Chicken Little's head. This results in Chicken Little becoming a laughing stock of the town.
The story continues a year later, and picks up with Chicken Little and his pals (fellow outcasts) going about their everyday lives. They are all victims of the local bully Foxy Loxy and her friend Goosey Loosey due to their collective outcast status. The previous events of last year have sent Chicken Little on a mission to regain his pride and the respect of his father. He believes he can do this by joining his school's Little League baseball team. When things seem to improve after Chicken Little scores a home run during a big game, he, again, has a "piece of sky" land on his head. What is he to do this time? (I will stop there as I do not wish to spoil the story). Is the sky really falling or is it just a coincidence? Get the DVD to find out!
Chicken Little is the forty-fifth animated feature from Walt Disney Pictures. I love (CGI) animated films and Chicken Little is no exception. The quality of the animation is first class and seamless. The characters are appealing and anyone who has let someone down will be able to identify with the plight of Chicken Little in his quest to regain his father's respect.

This is a great review. I have to say I'm not a Chicken Little fan (fell asleep in it actually!) But I reckon kids love it - my boyfriend's little sister does actually.
