ok i have seen this on the west end and on film. which one is better? well to be honest they are bothe good in different ways.
The film is very true to the stage version although a few of the songs have been cut. i think the way the musical numbers are set out are amazing. you can really understand the song and the stories in them.
as for the acting well top notch performances from all. to be honest i was shocked at the high level of great singing that they all gave. Catherine Zeta Jones as Velma Kelly is amazing. her dance routines were ace and the overall portrayal of the character was really good. Reese Witherspoon also gave a great performance as Roxie Heart the ever so innocent yet guilty blonde.
overall i love this film and could watch it over and over again.
