The newly realeased chicago has recieved a mixed reaction from the public and i believe the movie to be a big hype over nothing.Renneezwelleger (im sorry if its spelt wrong) plays an ambitious women who wishes to be a showgirl and the man who 'attempts' to get her to the top, stabs her in the back, she turns to a life of crime and finds herself banged up in prison after shooting him. She then hires a very highly skilled barrister who convinces the shy girl to make the public, press and jury to feel sorry for her. Throughout the movie, many pourly played musical numbers are brought out which obviously looks like they had no idea what to do. I maybe harsh on this but this is my opinion and many others agree with me.
