This is a sports soccer dvd review called golden goal's.
Starring many players throughout Chelsea's history as a Soccer club during the television era. Contained on the dvd are one hundred and sixty two goals on a random selection basis There later is a top twenty goals scored section. I guess that some of them were amongst those considered the greatest scored by chelsea football club. Having watched this, it is hard to disagree with the producers of this dvd overall.
Presentation wise it is entertaining to watch from a chelsea supporters perspective. Some really amazing goals naturally have been scored over the years. The dvd also highlighted a number of players that I was previously unaware of including Jon Spencer, and lesser known players or not so well remembered players. More signficantly enough, the dvd goals combined individual brilliant moments with great team assisted build up play.
Dissapointingly enough, I found was that there was no hi definition or added widescreen formatted viewing of the action. It is simple and rather limited in its presentation. Regarding the commentary, I noticed that most of the goals scored had commentary, whereas for a handful of goals there was no speech just visual clues as to who the players were.
This dvd has a run time of a one hundred and thirty two minutes to celebrate one hundred and sixty two goals I feel is rather acceptable value for money.
Special Features
There is a section of dvd extra's that included the Top ten saves from goalkeepers, and goal line clearances from chelsea's outfield players. Some of these saves are absolutely top class reaction saves from cudini, petr cech, and ed de goey. Also ten of the worst misses from the chelsea mistake's provides a most amusing look at the club's worst missed chances. wise missed an easy header just a yard or two from the goal. sutton's miss against sunderland back in nineteen ninety two, also stood out for me, with appearingly acres of space to hit the target, Also jimmy floyd hasselbaink is shown taking a free kick and the ball is hit hard, and instead of a resulting goal, the ball is run into the upper terraces of stamford bridge.
Also christmas greetings from the chelsea players including ballack, petr cech, salmon kalou, essien, ashley cole, to name a few, say merry christmas in their own languages. cech says merry christmas chelsea fans in his native czech language, kalou sounds french, and ballack talks in german. This part of the dvd is strange to say the least as the greetings only last five to ten seconds and I have no idea why they included this part as most of these players are relatively new.
Further Information
Depending on the outcome of the next few days of soccer, will likely result in a new chelsea dvd, highlighting a stressful though potentially successful season. This dvd gave a chelsea die hard fan a good look into some great action moments over the years. It was entertaining, combined with some amusing moments.
From a fan's perspective it is interesting to see why some of the player's including mateja kezman, became transfer listed fast, and also why cudicini has been at the club for plenty of years. Also for me, arguably which goal for me stands out the most, would perhaps be di matteo's goal against middlesborough in the fa cup final in may nineteen ninety seven, scoring after just forty two seconds. In assessing which goal is the best is playing the impossible. None of the goals scored could be counted as more significant as didier drogba's winner in the champions league semi final second leg.
Price and Availability
Amazon have this for sale brand new, for fiftteen Pounds and ninety nine pence and from three Pounds and forty one pence on a second hand basis. I found this better value to watch than going to the pub last night.
By far and away this is the most interesting dvd I have watched in a while.

Most of these are replayed often enough on Chelsea TV, so I won't be buying the DVD. Just looking forward to more great goals in the forthcoming seasons.
