It all started with the Manchester United fans chanting the telling question in the first half of the first game of the 2004-2005 season: "Have you ever seen Chelsea win the League?" It became the most important question of Chelsea's season. The team honestly wasn't expected (or indeed, expecting) to do very well: a new manager, multiple new signings, a young inexperienced captain who was not the manager's first choice . . . and yet, they did the impossible. 50 years after their first League championship, John Terry lifted the Premiership Trophey and Stamford Bridge went absolutely crazy. This DVD gives highlights from every game, behind-the-scene views of the players and staff, and in general anything you'd possibly want to know or see about Chelsea's winning season. From the first victory over Man U to "The Battle of Blackburn" (as JT has termed it), from the thrill of winning the Premiership in Bolton to the heartbreak of the Champions League at Liverpool (it never crossed the line, and this DVD proves it!), these DVDs have it all. This team had its share of problems (centre forwards who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn some days, an exhausted midfielder trying to break the most consecutive games played record, their captain playing the entire season with bone spurs in his foot, Arjen Robben's injuries, etc.), yet it can be argued that this team was one of the greatest ever to play the beautiful game. These DVDs give you a great glimpse into their life together, what made them so brilliant, and perhaps why the 2005-2006 squad hasn't gelled in the same way. The only disadvantage: if you subscribe to Chelsea TV, you've seen most of this already. If you visit the Chelsea website regularly, you know most of the information already. If you've read John Terry's book . . . you get the idea. It's not like the information isn't out there; however, this is the first time that it is all together in one place. And that in and of itself is reason to buy this DVD.

Anything that puts Man U in their place will do for me although you could have gone into more detail regarding the Extras available as these are conspicuous by their absence in your review. I just hope you are singing "Have you ever seen Chelsea retain the League" come the end of the season.
