I have been buying DVD's almost since they came out and have found that the American DVD releases seem to be more packed with Extra's and other features than the regular UK ones. The only problem that I had found was the import charge when ordering from a company based in the US but I have since found a number of relatively cheap importers based in the UK who especially with pre-ordering can get you a product that is both cheaper than the standard alternative and as I have mentioned has more features. The other rather strange thing about imported DVD's is the fact that some scenes seem to be region specific so that you get different content in the movie itself. The main down point though is the fact that there are so few Multi-Region enabled DVD players on the market.

Advantages: Anything that has Cameron Diaz in it, wet and 'unzipped' to the waist has got to get 5 stars Disadvantages: not sure Lucy Liu was the right casting for the 3rd 'Angel'
