I like easy going action films as much as the next man, but this one just went too far. About half an hour through my sister and I broke out into laughter simultaneously and both said we couldn't believe just how bad the film was.
The problem is, the film completely lacked substance and made a mockery of the players involved. Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz especially have had good roles in other films, but were reduced to bimbos in this, with needless body shots being put in all over the place. The plot was plain silly, and made them look even more stupid by the fact that they had to keep telling each other what was going on throughout the movie.
Their were numerous fight scenes which just got plain boring after the first few. The problem was the "Matrix style" production was used, which made all the stunts look very silly as they were flying in mid air for hours on end. Due to the nod to the Matrix it all looked like a cheap rip-off.
I tried my best to like this film - I've always been a big Bond fan and can appreciate some "artistic licence" here and there when it comes to action films. However, this went too far - don't rent this and definitely don't buy it.
