I had my popcorn, sweets and drink at the ready, alongside my husband and daughter, poised with my DVD player to watch Charlies Angels.
From the opening scenes I realised that it was not going to be an updated version off the hit series in the 70's. No! Rather it seemed more like a spoof. It was not a film that could be taken at all seriously and the characters were very disappointing.
The plot. I lost it! There was a villain or 2. But instead of being a new story it had begged, stealed and borrowed to coin a phrase from every other film going. For example:The Matrix, Mission Impossible. I'm sure you get my drift.
I don't remember Bosley being such an idiotic character until this film and I'm sure if you do have a couple of hours to waste then you will see what I mean.
The thing I was most grateful for was the fact we had only hired the film out and not purchased the film as it would have been left on the shelf gathering dust!!!!!!!

Advantages: A glossy finish. Good looking cast. Tim Curry's acting. Disadvantages: People will have their own idea about the film before they go to see it - and the movie might not be what they expected.
Advantages: Anything that has Cameron Diaz in it, wet and 'unzipped' to the waist has got to get 5 stars Disadvantages: not sure Lucy Liu was the right casting for the 3rd 'Angel'

Review of Charlie's Angels (DVD)
Advantages: Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz... Disadvantages: The most stupid film ever, even worse than The Avengers, possibly as bad as Batman and Robin
