Ok guys point taken now updated! I don't like to write too much about film reviews I tend to think I don't want to tell the whole story and ruin the film for someone who hasn't yet seen it.
I borrowed this DVD from a friend, he did say to not take it seriously, and he was right. It was similar to the old 70's TV series, in some aspects, but the whole plot was very thin. There were many stolen effects from The Matrix ( an excellent film) but hey why make your own if you can borrow!
The story The angels are hired to find a guy who has been kidnapped, and to find the software that was stolen, the kidnapped guy's wife, points the finger at a local businessman, who she thinks wants the software. Follows, the angels finding the victim safe, gathering information from the rival company to see where the software is hidden. BUT it is all just a ploy, a trick, there was no kidnap or theft. What they really wanted was Charlie (the reasons you will find when you watch the film). I won't reveal the ending you will have to watch to see, but just think back to the series.
The acting was fine, no problems there, Camerion Diaz was great as dizzy blonde, the dancing scene in the Soul club was a hoot! Lucy Liu added the a bit of spice, and angel with attitude, and fans of Ally Mcbeal will not be able to watch her without hearing the witch tune from wizard of Oz. After arguments on who was the original Charlie, and if he was dead, we finally had to wait for the credits to realise it was John Forsythe and yes he was the original Charlie (Points to me haha!)
Drew Barrymore, was the grungy angel, but still brilliant, and watch out for little chad!
All in all it was a great cast, and brilliant effects, just a terrible storyline, the film was hyped too much. Without the star cast this film would have been a flop, but what hot blooded male could resist seeing lovely Cameron, Lucy and Drew eh? Still worth watching, I have seen worse a lot worse. As I said if you don't take it too seriously this film is pretty ok.

Hiya, this is a good op, but more could be added to it. Like about the director, price for the video, and you could of explained your points more clearly. For example, you said the storyline was weak. Why did you feel it was? This was a good start though. If you re-do this op, write to me in my guestbook and i would be happy to re-rate! Naomi :)

Advantages: Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz... Disadvantages: The most stupid film ever, even worse than The Avengers, possibly as bad as Batman and Robin
Advantages: Anything that has Cameron Diaz in it, wet and 'unzipped' to the waist has got to get 5 stars Disadvantages: not sure Lucy Liu was the right casting for the 3rd 'Angel'
